In this article, we will explain how you can integrate the Hipcall virtual PBX application with Odoo.
1. Go to the Odoo settings page.
2. The VoIP menu is configured.
The account settings are the same for all Odoo accounts. The following information does not change from account to account:
PBX Server IP: sip.hipcall.com.tr
WebSocket: wss://sip.hipcall.com.tr:8443
VoIP Environment: Production
3. From the Users menu, select the user whose phone will be configured.
4. The user’s Hipcall VoIP settings are configured.
VoIP Username and secret can be obtained by Hipcall users from the PROFILE > Device Settings section.
VoIP Username: A 6-digit SIP username.
VoIP Secret: A 16-character SIP password.
5. Testing the Integration
If all the information is entered correctly into Odoo, it will successfully register with the Hipcall PBX system. You can see Odoo listed as a registered device in the. PROFILE > Device Settings menu. If you do not see Odoo, wait for 15-30 seconds and refresh the page.
Additionally, you can test the integration by making calls and receiving calls through the Odoo webphone. However, to make calls, ensure that you have sufficient credits and that the default number is assigned to the Hipcall user.
Points to Consider
Despite entering all the information correctly, it did not register.
If you encounter a 401 error on the Webphone in Odoo, it indicates that the username or password has been entered incorrectly. We recommend checking the following points:
Did you enter the following information correctly into your Odoo account?
PBX Server IP: sip.hipcall.com.tr
WebSocket: wss://sip.hipcall.com.tr:8443
VoIP Environment: Production
Did you enter the SIP username (VoIP username) and SIP password (VoIP secret) correctly on the user side? Remember, your Hipcall username and password are different from your SIP username and password. The information Odoo requires is not your email or Hipcall password but the SIP username and SIP password found under Profile > Device Settings. The SIP username consists of 6 digits, and the SIP password is 16 characters long.
Changing the SIP Password (VoIP Secret)
For security reasons, at Hipcall, we display your SIP password (referred to as VoIP secret in Odoo) only once in your panel. If you do not know your SIP password, you will need to reset it. When you change your SIP password, you will need to reconfigure all your connected clients such as IP phones, mobile applications, etc.
Although I am registered, I cannot make calls.
We cannot make outgoing calls:
- Is the default outbound number assigned to the user in Hipcall? If the user’s outbound number is not defined, you will not be able to make outgoing calls.
- Do you have enough credits? :-)
If you cannot receive calls
- You called your Hipcall number from your mobile phone. For the call to be routed to the user in Odoo, the Hipcall PBX system must transfer the call to that user. You can test this by dialing the user’s extension. Additionally, in Hipcall, under İletişim > Çağrı geçmişi , you can check the call details to see to whom the call was transferred.
